Anger Groups in NYC are currently offered to individuals who are struggling with high levels of anger, aggression, tension, stress, and frustration. Scientific research indicates that Anger Management can be effective. In addition, this research indicates that group work can be effective. Anger research indicates that various components are responsible for success. These include Skills Training, Relaxation, and Cognitive Restructuring. It is also recommended that programs include Relapse Prevention. Research also indicates that Anger Management Groups may have additional benefits. For example, one Anger Treatment study indicated that there were significant reductions in Depression Symptoms on the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI).
